Elisabeth Vathje – An FWL sponsored Canadian athlete
We met Elisabeth Vathje through our amazing key supporter Tony Fairfield at Fairfield, Watson & Lewis. He and his partner Ian had a remarkable opportunity presented to them to sponsor a young Canadian skeleton athlete and Olympic hopeful Elisabeth Vathje. In fact, they sponsored her over 4 years to help bolster her journey to become an Olympic team member and to compete for Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
We decided to also become sponsors. We immediately knew the value of helping Liz by creating a video to help her attract more sponsors. We also felt as though supporting her for the coming four years would be a great idea. Check out her great video to learn more about how you can become involved with Team Vathje. Elisabeth needs support like some many of our Canadian athletes. Since becoming involved with her, Elisabeth has been named a member of Team Canada and has competed in World Cup events and done very well. She has placed first and medalled in several events. We are very proud of her.
Check out her great video to learn more about how you can become involved with Team Vathje. Elisabeth needs support like so many of our Canadian athletes. Team Canada strength and conditioning coach Rob Gray discusses the importance of making training the number one priority. Watching this video will provide some more insight on the importance of funding for our Canadian athletes.
